Comments: The GreenWorks G-Max 40V cordless mower is a very high quality mower. We even considered placing it higher than the black and decker electric mower, but it had to settle for a solid third place.

The GreenWorks G-Max 40V cordless mower is extremely lightweight – at about 40 pounds, this mower is very easy to control, although it is not self-propelled. We listed this as a con in the visual above, but the fact that the mower is not self-propelled is not a con due to the lightweight nature of the mower. Anyone can control it, from little kids to the elders. User experience for the GreenWorks G-Max 40V cordless mower is top-notch.

The electric mower’s battery is very good compared to those of other battery operated lawn mowers. Its average battery runtime is twice as long as those of certain other battery operated mowers. This is a huge factor as it will give you sufficient time to mow your entire lawn without having to recharge the battery. With other electric mowers that have short battery runtimes, that is the case, and it is incredibly inconvenient. Also, unlike most other electric mowers, the GreenWorks G-Max 40V cordless lawnmower comes with 2 batteries. While the electric lawnmower is in use, if one battery runs out, the machine automatically switches to the second battery. This is a prominent and unique feature of this lawnmower.

Another helpful feature the GreenWorks G-Max 40V cordless mower has is a battery remaining indicator, which is a light that shows the remaining battery life. It allows the user to gauge how much power (and time) you have left so you can finish mowing your lawn more efficiently.

For its safe-start the GreenWorks G-Max 40V features a key, which is standard among battery operated mowers. The purpose of the safe-start is to prevent the lawnmower from starting when it’s not supposed to. This helps protects curious little children.

User Complains of the GreenWorks G-Max 40V Cordless Mower

While testing and talking to costumers, we discovered a few minor complaints about the GreenWorks G-Max 40V cordless mower. A couple complaints were about inconsistency and ragged cutting. From our testing, we did not experience any ragged cutting, it was even for the most part. However, for hilly terrains, inconsistent and and ragged trimming may occur when using this cordless mower. That is why we recommend that you use this mower only if you have a mainly flat lawn.

Another area for improvement for the GreenWorks G-Max 40V cordless mower is warranty and costumer support. While phone and email support are provided, some users have complained about the responsiveness and helpfulness of the staff. However, it should be noted that when you purchase the cordless mower, you have a 4-year limited warranty, which is better than most other mowers.

In final, we definitely recommend the GreenWorks G-Max 40V cordless mower for everyone whose lawn is less than a third of an acre and is mostly flat.
